Scolecite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral with a hardness of 5.  Most of the available material is from the zeolite deposits of India. It can occur as separate tabular colourless crystals or in white masses.

Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say Scolecite is a stone of deep inner peace, enhancing the upliftment of conciousness to higher planes. It is said to energize the heart chakra, bring healing to the emotional body, facilitates interdimensional travel and communication, and help one to access knowledge from other worlds and other times.
