DUMORTIERITE

Dumortierite is an aluminum borate silicate mineral with a hardness of 7. It's colors can be dark blue, violet-blue and red-brown. It is found in Brazil, Europe, Africa, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and the USA.  It was named after the French Paleontologist, Eugene Dumortier.
