SERPENTINE
~ Prosperity, kundalini opening ~
This gemstone gets its name from the resemblence of its color and markings to the skin of a snake. It is a magnesium silicate with a hardness of 2 to 5.5. Highly valued marbles such as Connemara are mixtures of Serpentine and marble.
Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say Serpentine emits a profound healing vibration and facilitates the energetic the heart chakra. It is also believed to help activate the kundalini, or "serpent fire" energies.
