Apache Tears (Obsidian) Natural Stones

Apache Tears are a variety of Obsidian, which have a hardness of 5 to 5.5. They are native to Mexico and the Southwest of the United States. Apache Tears are usually semi-transparent and black-brown in color. Their name is derived from a legend about the Apache tribe. 

Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say that Apache Tears can be used for grounding and for protection from negative energies. Apache Tears facilitate processing and release of frozen emotional patterns, especially those held below one's level of awareness.
