Anandalite is an unusual variety of Quartz from India. Its name is derived from the Sanscrit word ananda, which means "Divine bliss." It occurs as clusters of small points, arising from a chalcedony base. The points vary from carpets of tiny sparkling druzy crystals to clusters of points up to 1/2 in long. Many Ananadalites display a unique characteristic -- bright colors that reflect from and within the surfaces of the points. The colors range from green, blue and violet to yellow, red and orange. The higher grades display the most vivid colors, but all grades are beautiful.
Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say Anandalite stimulates spiritual awakening. It awakens latent capacities, psychic abilities, past-life memories and creative inspirations. In healing, it can clear blockages in the chakras and meridian system.
